BONES...

It's a great excuse to go out and wander most anywhere. And you can find bones in the oddest places: there's almost a sociological essay in it. I've been a fan of trains since I was a kid and traveled across country on a train. Later, I got picked up by cops after hopping on a freight train. So, even as an adult I spend a lot of time near trains. If I can't get to nature I find that train tracks are an excellent place to wander. And it's also a place where people sometimes throw out dead pets. I find a lot of stuff on the tracks.

Aa far as nature is concerned, any place where meadowland meets hills is good as there seems to be a predator interface there. And if you want to buy bones, you need to contact the Bone Shop in Berkeley California...

And if you want to get some hard-earned hints about how to get the icky stuff offa bones, give me a post...Let's just say that putting a skull in a pot full of Tide-filled water and turning the burner to '11' is not a good way....

Here are some of my favorite bone-things:
Seal skull (with a story)
Cat skull
Deer skull
Crazy Pig
Various Birds
