DINOSAUR SONG (Dedicated to....)

Our hearts were bigger than our brains,
Our hides were thick with scores,
But everything was warm and sane,
When we were dinosaurs.

There was no hatred, never wars,
Cause we were simply dinosaurs,
Men weren't rapists, women whores,
As we were only dinosaurs.

We never asked what life was for;
Or worried what might be in store.
And we weren't greedy, craving more,
Just enough for simple dinosaurs.

We were scaled and had fierce claws,
And yet we killed no more,
Than we needed though we had no laws,
Cause were merely dinosaurs.

And now they say that we've evolved:
And I guess it must be true,
Though I find it hard to get involved,
When I loved the beast in you.
